Yesterday morning seen the under 14s restart their league campaign following the summer break when we travelled to play East Kilbride

The opening exchanges started evenly with both teams created opportunities. However Heston broke the deadlock when Katie broke down the left hand side and finished from the narrow angle

Shortly after East Kilbride equalised. the initial shot was saved by Maddie, however their striker followed up the rebound

With it looking like we were going in level at halftime. Imogen popped up at the edge of the box to finish well

After halftime unfortunately due to an injury to EK’s goalkeeper had to come off meaning our opponents had to play with 10 due to lack of substitutions.

Shortly after Sophie bagged herself a brace and April rounded off the scoring with a close range finish

Player of the Match- Maddie ⭐️

There was a few candidates for player of the match. Sophie due to her 2 well finished goals, Katie because of her debut goal for Heston or Lucy who played well in a few different positions that she hasn’t played before

However the honour went to Maddie.

Maddie the young pup of the group, has been thrust into the frame due to an injury to one of our other goalkeepers Poppy, but she seems to have taken it all in her stride.

She pulled of numerous good saves, was very vocal and was always an option to her defenders to pass back to if needed. Well done Mads
