Player Registrations

IMPORTANT

The Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA) has decided that all children need to now be registered with the SYFA, this will involve a lot of work for a club of our size. The committee has decided it would be better if we take on the task of registering the players and then supplying the coaches with a list of registered players. Sanctions can be taken against the club if players are involved in soccer 7’s and fun fours and are not registered, we already have this in place for 11-a-sides. There is a benefit in that players will be insured through the SYFA while playing football through Heston. We have started the process and should shortly be in a position to fill in the registration form, this will involve certain details of the child being filled in, (name, address, date of birth), the parent/guardian will also need to sign the form and in the case of the 2004 and older the child will also need to sign. We propose to do the registrations on tue 26^th, wed 27th and thu 28th Feb from 6pm till 7.30pm and would like all parents/guardians to try and get along on one of these nights. We are busier on a Saturday so would prefer if you could make it along on one of the nights.

 Due to the costs involved a registration fee of £10 is payable to cover all the costs we will incur.

No child will be allowed to play soccer 7’s, fun fours or football festivals that are not registered. The Dumfries and Galloway Youth Football Development Association (DGYFDA) will be making checks to see all players are registered.

The new season for fun fours and soccer 7’s starts at the beginning of March, so we need to have everything in place for then. We will take the 11-a-side teams through the same process before their season starts in August.

In the future we will be able to check at Maryfield newcomers to the club before registering them to make sure they are not registered with another club and also to release players that wish to leave Heston

We will also have information available on the registration nights regarding our Presentation Day and Football Festival.

Please clean up any mess that you dog leaves on our pitches and surrounding area for health reasons. YOUR dog so YOUR responsibility. If caught by DGC wardens we hope you are fined.Ideally,find somewhere else to walk your dog other than our sports pitches. Thank you to those of you who do clean up your dogs mess.
