The current Heston Rovers under 12 team play as 'Heston Rovers Colts 13's' in the DGYFDA Under 13 Development League. This is their first year of playing 11 a side football having stepped up from the 7 a side Development League.

The current squad is made up of 17 boys all born in 1997. The majority of these boys have played together for 4 years so they have enjoyed a level of consistency in the playing squad probably unrivalled for some time at Heston Rovers.

Of course it is always good to have healthy competition for places so it has been pleasing to welcome our new boy this season Fraser McCubbing to the squad.

On the coaching front David Paterson joined in the summer of 2008 to assist in the running of the team and the boys are getting the benefit of having some new ideas thrown at them during our weekly training session at Maryfield.

Ross Fergusson has been selected for the Dumfries and Galloway Regional Primary School team.

Cameron Finnie, Craig Campbell and Ryan Cochrane are training with Queen of the South under 13's.
